Covid 19 third wave Sri Lanka – 16 people were arrested for organising a wedding ceremony violating the travel restrictions

The Jaffna Public Health Inspectorate says that steps have been taken to arrest and quarantine 16 persons for violating the quarantine rules and organizing a wedding ceremony in the Gurunagar area in Jaffna.

According to information received by the Nelliady Police, a wedding was being held in the Gurunagara area with the participation of a large number of people.

Sixteen participants were arrested and quarantined at the venue An investigation has been launched to find more than 50 participants.
