The Cabinet has approved the import of organic fertilizers and natural minerals.

Cabinet Spokesman Minister Keheliya Rambukwella stated that the quality of the imported fertilizers is being monitored through three agencies.

He said that the decision was taken under the program to promote organic fertilizer as the use of chemical fertilizers has caused many health problems.
