The Cabinet has approved to increase the monthly allowance of pre-school teachers after providing them with certain training.
Accordingly, the monthly allowance of Rs. 250 has been increased to Rs. 2,500. The payment will be made with effect from today (01).
The proposal made by the Minister of Education to grant the allowance to 25,000 eligible pre-school teachers based on the criteria identified as the first phase, has been approved by the Cabinet.
