Two suspects were arrested for selling liquor during lockdown

that two suspects were arrested along with 20 bottles of locally made approved liquor for selling liquor to estate workers at exorbitant prices without a license despite having travel restrictions, ,Bogawantalawa Police OIC Chief Inspector Shantha Bandara said.

The two suspects, who live in the isolated Bogawantalawa Campion and Loinon estates, have been charged with selling liquor to estate workers at exorbitant prices.

The two suspects will be produced before the Hatton Magistrate’s Court, Bogawantalawa Police said.
