Information about 30%of corona infections still has to be traced – Association of PHI

The Association of Public Health Inspectors states that the source of about 30% of the reported corona infections in Sri Lanka cannot be traced.

The president of the association Upul Rohana points out that this shows that the virus is already spreading on a large scale and that it is a very serious situation.

He said the current PCR tests have been delayed by 3 to 8 days and therefore the disease has started to spread through the associates of some infected people.

He added that there could be some reduction in the spreading of the virus by vaccination and by imposing travel restrictions
