Ministry of Health says that the Community medical network established by the Ministry of Health throughout the country has been collapsing.

There are currently about 100 community medicine specialists, and there are about 200 other medical professionals before they became specialists.

This situation has arisen because all these people aren’t keen to stay in Colombo due to the current situation, the posts of community medicine specialists in 15 districts are vacant and the medical network has become inactive.
