The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health is hiding data on the spread of the corona epidemic; Dr. Chandima Jeewander of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and Dr. Anuruddha Padeniya, President of the Government Medical Officers’ Association stated.

They alleged that the Epidemiology Unit did not provide accurate data to the President and that was why the country could not be locked down.

Dr. Sudath Samaraweera, Head of the Epidemiology Unit, said that because of the Minister of Epidemiology would not even provide accurate data on the epidemic and that the country was in grave danger.

They made these comments while joining to an interview on Hiru Tv salakuna program.
