There will be a shortage of oxygen soon; the Association of Specialist Physicians stated.

Its chairman, specialist Dr Lakkumar Fernando said that it would not be possible to provide oxygen cylinders close to the patient’s bed due to the shortage of cylinders in the country.

He also said that there were problems with the statistics given to the health sector and that it was too late for the government to make a decision.

He made these comments while joining an interview with an online channel.
