A video of a daughter brutally beating her elderly father and throwing him out of the house has been circulating on social media.

The incident took place at a house on Dabare Mawatha in Narahenpita, Colombo.

It showes the daughter continues to beat the father while threatening to go to the police and lodge a complaint if he wishes. The father was injured in the attack and has been admitted to hospital.

The daughter and grand daughter have been arrested and released on bail.
