The decision to suspend the Covid vaccination program in Sri Lanka has been revised.
Dr Sudath Samaraweera, the head of the Epidemiology Unit, told NewsWire that the vaccine doses will continue to be given to people over the age of 60.
The government has temporarily discontinued the corona virus vaccination program as of Wednesday night, according to the Health Ministry (31).
Fernandopulle said that the vaccination program is temporarily suspended because of a postponement of the receipt of more Oxford Astra Zeneca vacinations.
In the event of the expected inventory not coming on time, the State Minister said they decided to retain the existing stock of vaccines for the second jab.
