Customs officers arrested a janitorial worker worked at the Bandaranayake International Airport (BIA) for smuggling 17kg of gold worth more than Rs.220 today.

He tried to smuggle it through a disposal channel. The gold was brought from Dubai and handed over to the Janitorial worker at the airport and they were planning to giving them to a unknown person outside the airport.
