1120 suspects were arrested in the western province in a special operation conducted by the police yesterday (March 28)
Senior DIG in charge of the Western Province Deshabandu Tennakoon instruct the operation and it was conducted from 7.00 am to 5.00 pm.
Among the arrested suspects 47 were involved in crimes, 418 were evading arrest warrant and 549 suspects for their involvement in corrupt activities.
All of them will be produced before the Court.
