Two female nurses locked inside radiology room at Apeksha Hospital ; Radiographer arrested

A Radiographer attached to the Apeksha Hospital in Maharagama arrested for forceful locking of two female nurses.

The Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said that female nurses lodged a complaint about locking inside the radiology room for almost 1 hour and police are looking to arrest another radiographer over the incident.

The nursing staff of the Apeksha Hospital in Maharagama strongly objected all the attempt of the hospital administration to cover up the case and noted the how exposure to the radiology material could lead to high risk of cancer, genetic mutations, or even serious illness.

The hospital staff requested Health Minister and Ministry Secretary to conduct investigations on the incident and take appropriate action on the case.
