The Chinas military had raised security concerns about the data collected by cameras installed in the cars and send a roprt after banned Tesla cars from military facilities.
The chief executive of the US electric carmaker Tesla Elon Musk said “his firm would be shut down if its vehicles were used for spying on China”.( BBC)
“If Tesla used cars to spy in China or anywhere, we will get shut down.” as his car firm first foreign automaker to operate a wholly owned plant in China in 2018.
China is the Tesla’s second largest market after the USA according to firm’s global sales report in 2020.
