The Director-General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunawardena states that the guidlines for burial of COVID 19 victims has been finalized and going to issue within today (March 3)
Drafting guidlines for burial was happened 27 of February and also Dr. Gunawardena stated that day circular for burial will be issuing after the approval of task force on COVID-19 prevention and also after deciding the burial place.
Yesterday Co Cabinet Spokesperson Minister Keheliya Rambukwella announced that Iranaitvu island in Kilinochchi has selected as the burial ground for COVID victims.
Untill procedure for burial was finalized the dead bodies of the COVID victims will be kept in the cold storage.
