Job Profile

As a Legal Officer, your core responsibilities will include:

• Recovery Action: Assisting the Legal Recovery Unit in initiating timely recovery actions for past-due facilities.
• Court Representation: Appearing and representing the Bank in courts as and when required.
• Documentation: Preparing Board Papers under the Recovery of Loans by Banks (Special Provisions) Act, No. 04 of 1990.
• Registry Matters: Attending to land registry matters, including drafting and attesting deeds like Conditions of Sale and Certificates of Sale.
• Legal Advisory: Providing expert legal opinions and advisory support to the Bank.

Applicant’s Profile

Furthermore, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• Legal Standing: Must be an Attorney-at-Law and Notary Public.
• Experience: Preferably a minimum of three (3) years of experience in court work and Notarial practice.
• Technical Skills: Competency in drafting pleadings, security, and other related legal documentation.
