Another 33 people died of corona infection, the Government Information Department reported According to the announcement, 11 of the deaths occurred at home. At the same,e time the number of corona deaths in the country has increased to 1243.

The whole country is in danger authorities request a two-week curfew

Two suspects were arrested for selling liquor during lockdown

The opposition leader has been diagnosed with corona
Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa has been diagnosed with corona infection. He wrote on his Twitter account that he and his wife had been diagnosed with coronavirus. The Leader of the Opposition said in Parliament recently that he had not received the corona vaccine. Meanwhile, the General Secretary of the Samagi Jana Balawega Party Ranjith Madduma Bandara and several other members of parliament who worked closely with the Leader of the Opposition have been quarantined.
