Former Army Commander and Parliamentarian Sarath Fonseka says that if 11 innocent children were abducted and killed when they did not receive the ransom,even if its the Army Commander he should be punished. He further added that Mr. Wasantha Karannageda was the Commander of the Navy at that time and even he was the Army commander at that time, he did not approve of such brutal acts. He also said that he was of the opinion that such workers should be punished. Mr. Fonseka said he would not personally approve of the release or the w withdrawal of the case and if an Army Commander or anyone commits a crime, that person must be punished. He said this while he was responding to media reports when he visited former MP Ranjan Ramanayake at the Angunakolapelessa Prison.
