Gas price is going to increase by 300?

The price of a domestic gas cylinder is likely to increase by around 300 rupees, the weekend Sunday Times reports.

The two gas companies have sought permission from the government to increase gas prices and the ministerial subcommittee is scheduled to meet tomorrow to discuss the matter.

This ministerial subcommittee is headed by Minister Bandula Gunawardena and includes Vasudeva Nanayakkara, Mahinda Amaraweera, Keheliya Rambukwella and Udaya Gammanpila.

According to the reports gas companies have demanded that the price of gas should be increased by Rs. 700.
