Former Sri Lankan cricket captain Mahela Jayawardene, who worked as the head coach of the Mumbai Indians team, has resigned from that position.
It was because he got a new position. The owners of Mumbai Indians have appointed Mahela Jayawardena as the “Global Head of Performance” of the team.
Accordingly, he has been assigned the responsibilities related to the training activities and the selection of new players for all the three teams owned by the Mumbai Indians.
