The MQM, which backed the Pakistani PM, has decided to support the opposition in the no-confidence motion against the PM

Foreign media have reported that the government has lost its majority after the MQM party, which backed Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, decided to support the opposition in the no-confidence motion.

Pakistan’s opposition political parties have filed a joint no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The no-confidence motion, which alleges that Pakistan has plunged the country into a serious crisis due to poor management of its economy, is due to be debated next Thursday.

In the meantime, voting should take place within 7 days.

The country’s opposition leader presented a no-confidence motion in parliament yesterday afternoon, saying confidence in parliament had been shattered.
