A person arrested in connection with an incident where a group of underage girls and women in Mt. Lavinia have earned more than Rs. 40 million by selling them for sex.
The broker in the case, who was arrested by the CID, Colombo Chief Magistrate Buddhika C. Wijewardena has ordered that the suspect be remanded until the 4th of this month. Mr. Ragala made the order yesterday (22).
Vithanage Rajeev Ravinath Jayasinghe, a resident of 108/35, Dream Range, Pirivena Road, Wadduwa was remanded.
The case was filed in court by the Illegal Assets Investigation Division of the CID.
