A clash has erupted between traditional Muslims and Wahhabi Muslims over issues of inviting the General Secretary of the Bodu Bala Sena, Ven. Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thero to a mosque.

The clash had taken place on the 4th at a mosque in the Dummala Suriya area in Nikaweratiya.

Police have arrested four suspects in connection with the clash.

Clashes broke out between the two groups after the ceremony and one person injured in the clash has been admitted to the hospital.
