According to the economynext website the US dollar is selling at more than 225 rupees in Sri Lanka.

Demand for the US dollar has risen sharply in recent days as a result of the increase in the number of rupee notes printed, the report said.

These prices are being paid by foreign non-bank money changers for visitors as well as foreigners.
