Minister Udaya Gammanpila has resigned from the ministerial subcommittee appointed to determine gas prices

Energy Minister Udaya Gammanpila has resigned from the ministerial subcommittee appointed to determine gas prices.

The reason for this decision is that if he participates in the gas price decision, he will be targeted by certain sections of the government.

The Minister has decided not to participate in the gas price committee due to the attack by the government itself, even though the increase in fuel prices was in line with the government’s general decision.

Trade Minister Bandula Gunawardena has reported this to the Cabinet.
