The third reading of the port city commission bill passed with a majority of votes The third reading of the Colombo Port City Special Commission Bill was passed by a majority of 91 votes in Parliament. 149 votes were cast in favour of the Bill while 58 votes were cast against it. He said that he had lodged a complaint with the Minister of Health and the Director-General of Health Services and requested a comprehensive investigation into the matter.

Corona current situation in Sri Lanka – Government Medical Officers Association say they will not accept Sudath Samaraweera’s advice.

The Government Medical Officers’ Association states that it will no longer accept the advice of the Head of the Epidemiology Unit, Mr Sudath Samaraweera. The union has requested Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi to appoint the division under a Deputy Director-General of Health Services; the Assistant Secretary of the Government Medical Officers’ Association Naveen de Zoysa stated at a media briefing held by the Association.
