Police have instructed people return who had come in vehicles to a supermarket in the Thalawathugoda area to buy essential items. They have been told to park their vehicles and come on foot to get essential items.

Travel restrictions imposed across the country have been relaxed today to enable the public to purchase essential commodities.

The government has also announced that only one person from a house will be allowed to walk to the nearest shop.
