Three districts are in high danger-Public Health Inspectors Association.

Public Health Inspectors Association stated that three districts including Colombo, Gampaha and Kurunegala have become high risk due to record surges of COVID 19 positive cases. Government should impose travel restrictions(GMOA)

It is important to impose a travel restrictions to reduce the spread of the current corona virus; the Government Medical Officers’ Association. Myanmar Military coup- Military chief General Min Aung Hlaing makes first foreign trip since coup

The head of the Myanmar military Min Aung Hlaing is to meet international leaders.This is his first known foreign trip after the army took power with coup on 1 February. However, more than 700 people have been killed in protests against the military government in Myanmar during past few months. This is the first international effort to address the crisis happen in Myanmar and the talks will happen in the Indonesian capital Jakarta. Leaders and foreign ministers from the 10-member Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) will take part in the meeting.

Rishad Bathiudeen and brother arrested

CID arrested former Minister Rishad Bathiudeen and his brother Riaz Bathiudeen were arrested today morning. Police spokesman Ajith Rohana said that the arrest was made in connection with aiding the killers of the Easter attack on 2019-4-21. Rishad Bathiudeen released a video on social media stating that he had not been issued an arrest warrant. He also said that the Parliamentary Speaker was not aware of arresting him as a Member of Parliament and he is not informed on what charge he would be arrested.

A school in Trincomalee is closed

Trincomalee China Port Tamil College has decided to close indefinitely. That’s because a teacher at that school became infected with COVID 19 and the teacher had visited the school yesterday as well, despite conducting a PCR test two days ago.

All the Prison visits are suspended

Visitors to all the prisons are suspended for two weeks; prisons Media Spokesperson Prisons Commissioner Chandana Ekanayake said The decision was taken due to the increase in the number of COVID 19 infections increasing in the country. Accordingly, the visitors’ show will be suspended for two weeks from tomorrow ( April 24). He further said that the process of providing food and beverages by paying money is also active.

Tsunami in COVID 19 has begun in India – People are dying due to lack of oxygen

India’s health system is in a state of crisis due to the lack of oxygen, with large number of cases of COVID 19 infection cases being reported in India. In the capital, Delhi, has also run out of oxygen in two hospitals and people are dying for oxygen and a severe oxygen shortages occurs in Delhi, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana; according to the foreign reports. Due to the uncontrollable demand, the manufacturers have not been able to supply the existing oxygen demand. Accordingly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to discuss with the Chief Ministers of the states which are currently suffering from oxygen deficiency, but the Government of India is still in a state of crisis.
