The government should take a decision regarding madrassa schools and Muslim court laws within the next two to three weeks; Parliamentarian Ven. Athuraliye Rathana Thero said while addressing a media briefing in Colombo.

The problem is before the society is what is the ruling party and the opposition doing even two years after the Easter attack?; He further added

Rathana Thera also noted that neither the Ministry of Religious Affairs nor the Ministry of Education was aware of the courses available in Madrasa schools.

He said that madrassa schools should be taken under the government controland that it was the responsibility of the President to act about these things.
