Peliyagoda police had arrested a resident from Panadura Keselwatta area a few months before. He was later identified to have links with extremismists organization.

Investigations revealed that large amount of money has sent to his bank accounts from Dubai.

Police Media Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohan states that some of the money had transferred to a organisation that promotes Islamic extremism.

The suspects had later had later handed over to Terrorism Investigation Division (TID) for further investigations.
