Hungarian Foreign Minister arrives in Sri Lanka

A delegation led by the Hungarian Foreign Minister arrived in Sri Lanka this morning (12) for an official visit. Shooting in the north

A youth was injured in a shooting in the Vishwamadu area in Puthukuduirippu East, police said. Permission to import 300,000 metric tons of rice

The Ceylon Electricity Board says that there will be no power cuts in any area today (11). Woman commits suicide by jumping from CID upstairs

A woman who was arrested in connection with a money laundering case and is in the custody of the CID has reportedly committed suicide. Police said she jumped out of a window on the fifth floor of the CID. The 46-year-old woman was arrested by the CID for questioning in connection with a Rs. 60 million fraud. She had committed suicide by jumping to the ground at around 04.00 today morning (11), police said.
