Fishermen in Jaffna are in a state of panic as two more bodies were dumped at two locations on the Vadamarachchi beach in the Maradankeni police division in Jaffna  A group of fishermen had seen the first body dumped at Vadamarachchi Sakkottai beach in Jaffna and later they had spotted a body dumped at the Chundikulam beach in the East and had informed the Maradankeni Police. Police found One body was found at Vadamarachchi Maradankeni beach on November 30, one at Delft beach on November 28 and two at Manalkadu beach in Valvettithurai, Jaffna on November 27 with the assistance of fishermen. All the bodies dumped on the beach were found to be in an unrecognizable state of disrepair. All the bodies have been sent for postmortem examination. Meanwhile, there is a fear among the fishing community that bodies are being dumped at several beaches in Jaffna on a daily basis. The fishermen also requested the police to conduct an extensive investigation into the incident and release information. Meanwhile, there is no information or complaint regarding the disappearance of fishermen who went to sea in the Northern Province during the investigation into the bodies. The navy has also been alerted to find out whether the boat that capsized after trying to enter the North Sea had capsized and the people who had arrived there had drowned and their bodies were being dumped, police said.
