Archbishop issued an announcement protesting against fuel price hike

Archbishop Malcolm Ranjith Cardinal says that the increase in fuel prices is not a fair decision to the public due to the oppressive situation they are facing at the moment. Covid 19 third wave in Sri Lanka – Stok of Sinopharm vaccine has been stolen

The Habaraduwa Police have received a complaint regarding the theft of a stock of Sinopharm vaccine bottles that are being imported into the country to control corona. The Habaraduwa Medical Officer of Health has lodged the complaint alleging that 30 vials worth around Rs. 90,000 had been stolen. The complaint further states that a driver and a minor employee working in the office are responsible for that. The two suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident and a special team has been appointed to conduct a special investigation into the incident, police said.

Covid 19 current situation in Sri Lanka – Sri Lanka Reports 59 covid 19 related deaths and 2419 new infections during the past 24 hours.

The number of infected people found today is 2419, Government Information Department reported during the past 24 hours. With them, the total number of infections reported so far in the country has risen to 230625. Also, another 59 covid 19 related deaths have been reported by the Government Information Department yesterday. At the same time, the number of corona deaths in the country has risen to 2374.
