Sri Lanka is only conducting 7000 PCR tests to show a reduction in the spread of the virus, the county is in a danger

According to the Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists and Professionals, depending on the distribution of corona in the country more than 50,000 PCR tests are required per day.

However, the total number of PCR tests conducted in the country in a week is less than 55,000, President of the Association Ravi Kumudesh said

He told a news conference in Colombo that the mistake made last March was being repeated and that there was no way to control an epidemic by conducting 7,000 tests a day.

He said the condition showed a lack of infection and that it was not a true condition but a fake result caused by a reduction in tests.
