Ranjan Ramanayake’s petition against the abolition of the seat is rejected

The Court of Appeal has rejected and dismissed the writ petition filed by Ranjan Ramanayake against the abolition of his parliamentary seat without hearing it.

Petition was filed by Attorney-at-Law Suren Fernando lawyers of imprisoned Minister Ranjan Ramanayake for restraining him from losing his parliamentary seat.

It was scheduled to be heard by the Presiding Judge of the Court of Appeal, Arjuna Obeysekera and Mayadunne Koroya today (April 5).
